Comparison study of transmutation neutronics calculation for a spherical tokamak
Description
Based on studies of the spherical tokamak fusion reactor, a concept of fusion-transmutation reactor is put forward. By using the one-dimension transport and burn-up code BISON3.0 to optimize the design, a set of plasma parameters, blanket configuration suitable for the transmutation of MA nuclear waste and the feeding cycle are selected. Based on one-dimension calculations, two-dimension calculation has been carried out by using the two-dimension neutronics code TWODANT. Combined with to neutron flux given by the TWODANT code calculation, burn-up calculation has been proceeded by using the one-dimension radioactivity calculation code FDKR and some useful and reasonable results are obtained
