Flux growth of high Tc superconductors
Creators

Description
Recent developments in the flux growth of crystals belonging to high temperature superconducting materials namely Y-Ba-Cu-O and Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O are reviewed. The growth of these materials is highly anisotropic along c-axis and a-b plane resulting in mostly crystal platelets of only few hundred micron thick. Various problems encountered to grow large size crystals have been brought out and some areas for further investigation are identified. (author). 29 refs., 6 figs ., 2 tabs
