Preparation of 99Tcm-DTPA-metronidazole kit and preliminary clinical application

Description
DTPA-metronidazole is labelled with 99Tcm by a stannous chloride reduction method. The better conditions are selected, and the labelling yield is 99%. The main route of clearance is via the kidneys. One patient with lung cancer having bone metastasis and one patient with breast cancer are obtained is positive imaging. These observation suggest that DTPA-metronidazole may be a suitable agent for non-invasive, clinical assessment of tissue hypoxia
