Microtron and its applications
Creators
Description
The second 22 MeV microtron built in the radiochemical laboratory of the Raw Materials Institute, Kutna Hora (CS) is described and its parameters are given. The microtron can be used in various applications, e.g., nondestructive testing, activation analysis, medicine, isotope production, as a neutron source, etc. Many of these applications and their physical principles, sample preparation and data evaluation are described in detail. Attention is paid to applications in activation analysis and isotope production. (J.J.). 6 figs., 5 tabs., 31 refs
