Monitoring of parameters of ionizing radiation field of an electron accelerator with a scanned beam

Description

A mockup of a monitor of field parameters of ionizing radiation of an industrial electron accelerator with scanned beam is produced on the base of using liminescence of ionized air for measuring beam current in pulsed electron accelerators within 2-4 MeV and 20-1400 MeV energy ranges. A photoelectron multiplier PEU-68 with 50 μA permissible anode current is used as a light-sensitive element. The electric flow sheet of the monitor and test results in the ''Electron-3M'' accelerator are presented. The summary error of the monitor equals +-5%
