Simultaneous studies of plasma confinement effect on damaging of low activated Ti-V-Cr alloy
Description
Investigations into erosion, structure modification, chemical composition and mechanical properties of a low activated 69.6Ti-24.0V-6.4Cr alloy under irradiation with intense pulse flows of hydrogen plasma are conducted. The results obtained are compared to similar data for pure vanadium. A notable change of surface structure and surface layer chemical composition of the materials under investigation is observed under effect of pulse hydrogen plasma. Data on the surface erosion testify to the shielding effects. 19 refs.; 3 tabs
