Description
A simple and yet rather accurate effective form factor describing pair transfer in heavy-ion collisions is derived. It is based on a microscopic description of the transfer process including the most important second-order contributions in the single-particle potential. The result is reformulated in terms of a macroscopic description of pair transfer analogous to that associated with the excitation of surface modes. (orig.)
