Resonance effects of parity nonconservation and energy-level density of nuclei

Description
Investigation results of parity nonconservation effects in scattering of longitudinal polarized resonance neutrons by hadrons with A ∼ 100 are considered. Differences of experimental total cross sections of neutron absorption with opposite helicity in the energy range near low-energy P-resonances of 81Br, 111Cd, 117Sn, 139La nuclei are presented. They have the order of percent value at neutron energy equalling the energy of P-resonance of a compound nucleus. Dependence of the parity nonconservation effect on density of compound nucleus levels is investiagted
