On the depolarization at the diffraction of polarized neutrons on the monocrystal of tungsten-186

Description

Partial depolarization at the diffraction of polarized neutrons on a monocrystal of tungsten has been discovered. The tungsten monocrystal was made of the enriched with sup(186)W (90.7%) isotope mixture having an anomalously small coherent scattering length, which is approximately equal to 5x10-14 sm. The neutron beam polarization ratio value after the Bragg reflection from the monocrystal plane (110) has been measured during the experiment. The existence of the ranges ordering of magnetic moments (magnetic clusters) in the paramagnetic phase is confirmed by the discovery of the depolarization
