Description
The leaking neutron flight-time effect influence on measurements of prompt neutron was analyzed and verified by experiments in order to obtain the prompt neutron decay constant for hydrogenous reactors through experiments. The results illustrate that prominent neutron flight-time effect influences the measurement and the flight-time effect can be smaller by reducing the detection distance and shielding the thermal neutrons for thermal neutron sensitive detector.
