Nuclear reactor

Description

The invention relates to a nuclear reactor equipped with a pressure vessel and heat exchangers with outlet pipes that run through the wall of the vessel to a steam collection chamber. In existing constructions, fracture of one of the outlet pipes may cause that the hot, pressurized steam flowing out of the pipe flaps to and fro inflicting severe damage to other reactor parts. The purpose of the invention is to bypass this steam flapping by applying two outlet pipes that join out of the pressure vessel in a curve that is connected with a collecting pipe. This construction offers a simple solution of this problem. (Auth.)
