Simultaneous determination of silver, palladium, platinum, gold and ruthenium by neutron activation analysis
Description
A method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of silver, palladium, platinum, gold and ruthenium by activation with thermal neutrons followed by radiochemical separations involving solvent extraction and precipitation. The method has been tested by analyzing silver alloy and synthetic samples. Four determinations with 4 μg of each of Pd, Pt, Au, Ru and 10 μg of Ag give 3.99+-0.19, 3.99+ 0.13, 3.99+-0.33, 4.00+-0.17 and 9.99+-0.22, respectively, at 95% confidence limit. (author)
