Description
This technical note first indicate the values of radon activity concentration in a building for which actions must be undertaken. Then, it describes the organisation of services and departments which are to intervene under the aegis of the prefect. A table details who performs which actions. A table indicates technical, health, and communication actions to be undertaken during the different phases (situation analysis, expertise, rehabilitation and follow-up). Actions of information and communication are briefly described. Appendices describe more precisely the roles of the main concerned services at the local and national levels, give some more information on radon (definition, origin, possible distinction between natural and anthropogenic origin, possibility of exposure reduction, measurements), on its health impacts, State actions and role (criteria of action, regulations), AREVA's actions in the specific case of uranium mining activities, and also report a press communique about an abnormal exposure to radioactivity in a house.
