Safety and accident management of nuclear power plants
Description
A brief overview is given of the different stages of an accident in nuclear power plants and of computer programs, which are used for the simulation of such an accident. Next, one of these programs, SCDAP/RELAP 5, is discussed. This programme is specifically designed for the description of the thermohydraulic behaviour of the reactor system and the consequences of nuclear damage. 5 refs., 10 figs
