Nuclear waste
Description
This paper reports on the Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982 (42 U.S.C. 10101), as amended by the title V of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987 (P.P. 100-203). This act requires the GAO to report to the Congress on the Department of Energy's civilian radioactive waste management program. This report responds to that requirement
