Partial effects in the inhibition of acid corrosion of steels
Description
The inhibiting capability is investigated and approximated quantitative assessment of partial inhibition effects in the series of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (2-MBI) derivatives in hydrochloric acid on annealed Steel 20 is performed. It is ascertained that 2-MBI with n- and o-Cl substituents in benzole ring and with CH3-radical in imidazole ring features a maximum protection efficiency. The results are discussed taking into account the activity of chelate reagents. 20 refs.; 1 fig.; 3 tabs
