Excited states of 152Nd studied through the decay of 152Pr

  • 1. Kyoto Univ. (Japan). Dept. of Physics

Description

The β- decay of 152Pr → 152Nd has been investigated. The isotope 152Pr was separated from 235U fission products with the on-line isotope separator KUR-ISOL. The decay scheme of 152Pr were studied with γγ(t) coincidence, βγγ(t) triple coincidence, γγ angular correlation and conversion electron measurements. From angular correlation and conversion electron measurements spin and parity values for three levels are deduced. First 2+, 4+ level's life times are measured from βγγ(t) triple coincidence measurement. In the present experiment 18 γ rays and 4 excited states were newly found. (author)
