Description

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus suffered from the Chernobyl NPP there was realized a comprehensive survey of drainage facilities along the perimeter of exclusion zones in four districts of Gomel region. In course of the field and laboratory studies there was analysed the possibility of developed some activities of the reclamation systems which made it possible to provide ecologically safe and economically efficient rehabilitation and introduction of agricultural lands into rotation. Research results showed that there is a possibility of introducing into the agricultural rotation about 3000 ha of reclaimed land. Even after the reconstruction of drainage systems, the drained land is still the risky area for agriculture. Therefore, they required a detailed account of the density and composition of pollutants, soil conditions and water treatment provided by a network of reclamation. For the realized of intensive agriculture at these lands it is necessary to apply heightened doses of phosphorous and potassium fertilizers as well as realize liming. Application of nitrogenous fertilizers should be realized taking into account soil and vegetation diagnostics
