Phase contrast on oxidated grain boundaries in metal films

Description
The possibilities of electron microscopy usage for detection of the thin oxide interlayers on the grain boundaries in the polycrystal films of metals, are considered. It is shown that the most effective revealing of the boundary oxide interlayers is achieved with the help of the phase contrast, Which realized at defocusing of the film image. The method is exhibited in the V, Nb, Bi films
