Supporting method for thermonuclear device
Description
In a tokamak type thermonuclear device, easily deformed portions such as an inboard and an outboard of a vacuum vessel, poloidal magnetic field coils, are supported by dampers to absorb slow mode deformation such as baking and suppresses a fast mode deformation such as disruption. This can reduce deformation of the vacuum vessel and the poloidal magnetic field coils upon disruption. (N.H.)
