Cryptococcal intracerebral mass lesions in AIDS
Description
This paper presents a series of patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and intracerebral cryptococcal mass lesions. The CT and MR findings are reviewed, along with the corresponding pathologic findings. A review of the literature and speculation as to the pathophysiology of this unusual manifestation of central nervous system cryptococcosis is offered
