Relativistic electron- and positron-impact ionization of U91+, U90+, Pu93+ and Pu92+

Description

The relativistic two-potential distorted-wave approximation is applied to the electron- and positron-impact ionizations of hydrogen-like ions U91+ and Pu93+ and helium-like ions U90+ and Pu92+. Relativistic single-differential and total cross sections are calculated. The relativistic cross section of electron-impact ionization is larger than that of positron-impact ionization. Relativistic effects are investigated by taking the nonrelativistic limit. Ionization cross sections are compared with other theoretical calculations and experimental data
