Time integrated spent fuel storage biological doses
Description
Following the President's Energy Message of April, 1977, it became apparent that interim spent fuel storage may be required for longer periods of time than originally anticipated; either at centralized facilities or in further modification of existing pools. Studies show that, relative to partial increases already achieved at several U.S. facilities (from 4/3 to 7/3 cores), total integrated personnel exposures will double with 35 years of spent fuel accumulation.
