Accelerator with the inner generation of h f field

The paper describes an accelerator with internal generation of a high frequency field, comprising a retarding structure, a generating beam injector, an accelerating beam collector and a generating beam collector with axial orifice and a magnetic system. In order to increase the efficiency the accelerating and grouping sections of the retarding structure are spatially divided, the extremities of these sections are interconnected by wave guides, and the generating beam collector is located in the space between the sections. With this system the efficiency is increased about twice, and the accelerated beam trapping coefficient is also raised. (author)
