On oscillations of a vortex system in rotating HeII
Description
New data on the oscillations of a vortex system in rotating HeII are presented. A vessel with HeII suspended by a magnetic suspension without support is employed for observing the vortex oscillations. The results are compared with the theory. It is shown that the oscillation frequency is mainly determined by pinning of the vortex to the vessel bottom. Beating of the vortex oscillations is observed
