Central collisions of relativistic heavy ions are treated within the two-fluid dynamics (TFD) model as an interaction of two slabs of nuclear matter. In this paper space-time characteristics of the collision process are obtained. Estimations of energy densities in the C + C and Pb + Pb collisions are given
