Application of nuclear techniques for conservation and identification of art objects
Description
The method of disinfection of art objects by means of ionizing radiation as well as radiation consolidation methods have been presented. Also the broad spectrum of nuclear methods for identification (age determination, attribution etc.) of historical and art objects have ben shown. Especially, the attention has been paid on application of roentgenography, computer tomography, gamma radiography, autoradiography induced by thermal neutrons, neutron activation analysis, x-ray fluorescence and stable isotope ratio measurements
