Nuclear energy for X XI. Vol. III

Spain is an energetic island, and its dependence level is by 82%, exceeding the European Union average, that is about 50%. Advising this status, our country should not renounce to any mature energy source capable to reduce that high dependence that, at the same time, do not release CO2 emissions, and be cheap, to get a stable and competitive mix. However, although nuclear energy suits all those requirements, has been involved by a halo of hazard and catastrophism. From these pages, the assorted contributors will try to clarify that above fears are unjustified, always from a technical and severe point of view. 27 refs.
