NRC amends radiation protection requirements

Description
This article discusses the NRC amendments to radiation protection requirements and the reactions of Nuclear Information and Research Service and other industry and international groups to the amendments. The requirements apply stricter standards to pregnant workers as well. Changes to concentration limits for specific radioactive materials released into the air and water surrounding licensed facilities are discussed
