Description
An experimental irradiation of isotopes was carried out in a pool type reactor (Triton reactor) to better the knowledge of capture cross sections of uranium fission products arising in the Oklo phenomenon. Irradiation conditions analysis techniques of samples and methods of calculation to interpret results are described. Capture cross sections of 143Nd, 145Nd, 147Sm, 99Tc, 82Kr, 83Kr, 129Xe, 131Xe were determined will precision and were estimated for dysprosium isotopes and europium isotopes. Found values confirm known data for neodymium and xenon isotopes, but are smaller for 147Sm, 82Kr and 99Tc. These results bring interesting informations in the Oklo phenomenon interpretation. In particular neutron fluence values are confirmed, dating nuclear reactions with the fission neodymium. They give more accurately the ratios water/uranium at the time of nuclear reactions by measurement of spectrum indexes. They explain also the variation, found out before, between reaction duration calculated from plutonium taking part in fissions and the one deduced from the pair 99Tc-99Ru

Une irradiation experimentale d'isotopes a ete effectuee dans un reacteur de type piscine (reacteur Triton) afin d'ameliorer la connaissance des sections de capture des produits de fission de l'uranium intervenant dans le phenomene Oklo. On decrit les conditions d'irradiation, les techniques d'analyse des echantillons, ainsi que les methodes de calcul utilisees pour l'interpretation des resultats. Cette irradiation a permis de definir avec precision les sections de capture des isotopes suivants: 143Nd, 145Nd, 147Sm, 99Tc, 82Kr, 83Kr, 129Xe, 131Xe et de donner une estimation des sections de capture des differents isotopes du dysprosium et de l'europium. Les valeurs trouvees confirment les donnees existantes pour les isotopes du neodyme et du xenon, mais sont sensiblement plus petites pour 147Sm, 82Kr et 99Tc. Ces resultats apportent des elements d'information interessants dans l'interpretation du phenomene d'Oklo. Ils confirment en particulier les valeurs de la fluence neutronique d'ou l'age des reactions nucleaires determine a partir des bilans de neodyme de fission. Ils permettent de connaitre de maniere plus precise les rapports eau/uranium a l'epoque des reactions nucleaires, par la mesure des 'indices de spectre'. Ils expliquent aussi l'ecart constate anterieurement entre la valeur de la duree de reaction calculee d'apres la participation du plutonium aux fissions et celle deduite du couple 99Tc-99PuFiles
