Description
Different formulations of PVC, varying the concentration of plasticizers (Dioctyl Phthalate, Epoxy Soybean Oil), zinc and calcium stabilizers and blue tint were submitted to irradiation in the dose range of 0 to 50 kGy and to mechanical, optical and viscosity tests, capable to identify improvements. The PVC stabilization, related to discoloration was achieved without damaging its mechanical properties. (author)
