Structure of Tb2Ga8Fe, Dy2Ga8Fe, Ho2Ga8Fe, Er2Ga8Fe, Tm2Ga8Fe and Lu2Ga8Fe compounds

Description
The crystal structure of Tm2Ga8Fe compounds investigated by the X-ray diffraction method is attributed to the Ho2Ga8Co structural type, sp. gr. P4mmm, =a=0.4212, c=1.1103 nm, z=1. The shortest interatomic distances are: Tm-Tm-0.408, Tm-Ga-0.2932, Tm-Fe-0.348, Ga-Ga-0.240, Ga- Fe-0.2423 nm. Coordination numbers of the atoms are: Tm-18, Ga-11, 12, Fe-10. The unit cell parameters of the isostructural compounds are measured to be: Tb2Ga8FeR-a=0.4259(4), c=1.1133(8), Dy2Ga8Fe-a=0.4229(2), c=1.1097(6), Ho2Ga8Fe-a=0.4226(4), c=1.1088(9), Er2Ga8Fe-a=0.4221(2), c=1.105(1), Tm2Ga8Fe-a=0.4212(2), c=1.103(1), Lu2Ga8Fe-a=0.4195, c=1.1002(5) nm
