The potentiation of radiotherapy by metal complexes
Creators
- 1. Johnson Matthey Inc., West Chester, PA (USA)
- 2. Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Hanover, NH (USA)
Description
Radioresistance due to hypoxia may be an important obstacle to effective radiotherapy. The use of metal complexes as hypoxic cell radiosensitizers will be reviewed with the emphasis on recent results obtained with Pt complexes and water-soluble metalloporphyrins
