Description
A model of turbulence driven by resistive interchange instability in the tokamak scrape-off layer is proposed and investigated numerically. Large scale coherent structures are observed in the saturated regime of turbulence. The use of these biorthogonal decomposition and conditional sampling allows the coherent structures to be extracted and identified. It also clarifies the role played by these structures in the radial transport. These results, which are derived from a simplified model of turbulence, are compared with experimental data.
