Description
ICRF (ion cyclotron range of frequencies) wave on the ASDEX-upgrade tokamak is studied theoretically. By applying a numerical code on the ICRF wave propagation to ASDEX-upgrade, the antenna coupling, wave accessibility and power deposition profile are calculated. The role of the scrape-off plasma on coupling is also discussed. (orig.)
