Peculiarities of β-phase decomposition in titanium (α+β)-alloy
Creators
Description
A decomposition of a metastable β-solid solution in a two-phase titanium alloy has been studied by the methods of thermography, resistometry in conjunction with roentgenostructural and electron-microscopic analyses. This has been shown to be a two-stage process: in some regions of the β-solid solution transformation, similar in kinetics to a martensitic, predominates, in others - a slow decomposition through a number of intermediate states
