Creators

Description

This article describes Canada's facilities for radio astronomy at a popular level. Complicated hydrocarbon molecules have been found with the radio telescope at the Algonquin Radio Observatory while the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory uses a four-dish synthesis telescope to study stellar evolution. Theoretical studies are done at the Herzberg Institute in Ottawa and radar studies of the upper atmosphere are done at Swan River, Manitoba
