Description
We present the results of our investigation into the effect of irradiation of green light on the high spin <--> low spin transition behavior of the mononuclear iron(II) compound [Fe(bpp)2](NCS)2·2H2O explored with the help of magnetic as well as Moessbauer spectroscopic studies. It has been found that the compound exhibits molecular bistability under irradiation of light due to LIESST effect.
