Multiple ionization effects in x-ray emission induced by alpha particles
Creators
Description
Experiments have been performed in which level matching effects have been observed for simple and fully stripped projectiles. The measurements compared the k/sub α/ to k/sub β/ x ray intensity ratios obtained in alpha particle bombardment with those of deuterons of the same velocity incident on the same targets. Results are presented for projectile energies of 6.25, 2.88, and 2.35 MeV/amu. (2 figures) (U.S.)
