Cobalt-60 gamma radiolysis of tris(oxalato)cobalt(III) ion oxygenated aqueous solution

Description
Radiolysis of the tris(oxalato)cobalt(III) ions in oxygenated neutral aqueous solution has been studied. It is observed that CO2- radical ion reduces the complex ion while C2O4- and O2-radical ions do not. Evidence that C2O4- does not dissociate into CO2- and CO2 is also presented. (author)
