The 'electric power' experience: Between nostalgia and the future
Description
The ''Muehleberg'' is a concept which is mostly used in connection with the nuclear power station. But there is more to the ''Muehleberg'' than at first sight. A hydroelectric station, a waste dump gas plant and the brandnew works management centre of the Bernische Kraftwerke AG (BKW) constitute the framework for a host of other attractions in the field of electric power; among others, examples of technological culture in the BKW museum, which are worth seeing. ''Muehleberg'' ist ein Begriff, der heute meistens mit dem Kernkraftwerk verbunden wird. Aber ''Muehleberg'' steht fuer mehr: Ein Wasserkraftwerk, ein Deponiegas-Kraftwerk und das brandneue Betriebsfuehrungszentrum der Bernischen Kraftwerke AG (BKW) bilden den Rahmen fuer eine Reihe weiterer strombezogener Attraktionen, darunter sehenswerte Technikkultur im BKW-Museum.
