Proceedings of the specialist meeting on positron beam techniques for science and engineering 2009

The utilization of positron beams in the field of materials science and engineering has increased remarkably in these years. It is meaningful for researches working in this field to gather together to promote and exchange views and information between them. For this purpose, the Specialist Research Meeting on Positron Beam Techniques for Science and Engineering was held on November 20th and 21st, 2010 at the Research Reactor Institute, Kyoto University. Over 60 participants jointed the Meeting and 34 papers were presented. Many interesting experimental and theoretical results were reported, and intensive and fruitful discussion was done. This volume contains the summary and selected transparencies presented in the meeting. We hope that the proceedings will facilitate further progress in this promising research field. (author)
