Chromatographic investigation of hydrocarbon adsorption on zirconium dioxide

Description
The method of equilibrium gas-adsorption chromatography has been used to determine the coefficients of adsorption-desorption equilibrium and standard molar characteristics of adsorption of the C5-C:9-type hydrocarbons on granulated zirconium dioxide. It is shown that zirconium dioxide possesses high selectivity to alkanes and at the same time revealing the tendency to specific interaction with aromatic hydrocarbons
