Single-particle distributions with large momentum transfer in dp collisions at 3.3-GeV/c incident deuterons

  • 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR)

Description

The purpose of the investigation is to obtain detailed information on relativistic deuteron-proton collisions under the 4π-geometry as well as to separate and study all essential reaction channels. The 100-cm hydrogen bubble chamber was exposed to 3.3-GeV/c deuteron beam of the JINR synchrophasotron. About 50000 events were analyzed. The nucleon and π-meson spectra were obtained in a wide range of invariant momentum transfer. Variation of the slope of the invariant cross section distributions was observed in the region T approximately 0.03 GeV for nucleons and π-mesons emitted in the back hemisphere in the deuteron rest system. The results are analyzed with respect to possible observation of the cummulative effect
