Flux vortices in layered superconductors. A phenomenological model of topological excitation in anisotropic superconductors

Description

The role of magnetic flux vortices in layered superconductors is determined by two factors. The first of these factors is that magnetic flux lines perpendicular to the superconducting layers are, at the level of the layers, composed of vortices. The second influence is due to the existence of vortices subject to thermic excitation that at low temperatures are seen to form linked pairs of vortices. This study was aimed at investigating the properties of flux lines and pairs of vortices in markedly anisotropic superconductors. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

(orig.)
