Description

We study the interplay between solar neutrino event rates and solar magnetic field in both the Kamiokande-II and the 37Cl experiments, in a framework with resonant spin-flavor precession. An interesting difference in the correlation in these two experiments arises especially due to the presence of νe→anti νμ→anti νe for Majorana neutrinos. The conversion rate is sizable for parameters, Δm2<10-7 eV2, sin2θ>0.5 and the Zeeman energy μB>10-10 (μB.1 kG) with μB being the Bohr magneton. The detection of characteristic anti νe signals in the Kamiokande-II is also discussed. (orig.)
