On the structure formation of polyethylene during polymerization on heterogeneous organometallic catalysts

  • 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)

Description

Specificity of structure formation of polyethylene was studied. This was prepared by the coordinative ionic polymerization in the presence of TiCl4 complex catalysts and organometallic component based on the lithium, aluminum, gallium and indium phenyl derivatives insoluble in the reaction mixture. The polyethylene submolecular structure depends upon crystallinity of the catalyst organometallic component. These structures are sufficiently stable and define various mechanical properties of polythylene in the block after remelting at the Same chemical structure of chain, branching degree, characteristic viscosity, HWD and lattice parameters. The polyethylene molecular weight increases with decreasing TiCl4 concentration at the same character of submolecular structures
