Description

Objective: To provide guidance on the rational applications of the clinical X-ray examination through analyzing the positive rates of X-ray diagnostic examination of Shandong province. Methods: Through questionnaires, the annual number of X-ray diagnostic examination of the whole province was investigated, according to it, hospitals were arranged decreasingly into four levels, and proceeded the stratified random sampling on the rations of 9%, 6%, 3.5%, 1.5%. In this survey ,the distribution and positive rates of all kinds of X-ray examinations in the light of the four levels were studied. Results: In all kinds of X-ray examinations, the positive rates of mammography, dental panoramic radiography, body CT,cerebral angiography, urography, cardiac angiography are higher. In four levels of hospitals, the positive rate of the second level is 63%, the highest; those of the first and third levels are 58%, the same; and that of the forth level is 40% the lowest. In this study, we preliminarily provided the reference value of the positive rates of all kinds of X-ray examinations. If the positive rates increase to it, the annual costs of public medical service can decrease by about. 65 millionm, and annual public collective doses by 3,900 man·Sv. Conclusion: Increasing the positive rates of all kinds of X-ray examinations can promote the rational applications of X-ray examination, decrease the medical service costs, and deduce the public collective doses.
