Spontaneous chylothorax: Diagnosis by lymphography and CT

Description
The spontaneous occurrence of a non-neoplastic or non-traumatic chylothorax in adult patients is a rare case. The case reported here hence is an example of the significance and value of lymphography for diagnostic evaluation and therapy selection in such cases. (orig./GDG)

Das spontane Auftreten eines nicht neoplastisch oder traumatisch induzierten Chylothorax im Erwachsenenalter ist selten. Die Vorstellung eines entsprechenden Falles ist daher geeignet, die zentrale Bedeutung der Lymphographie fuer Diagnostik und Therapie relevanter Krankheitsfaelle zu unterstreichen.
