Description
A non-destructive method based on passive gamma-ray spectrometry is described for the determination of uranium in CaF2 slags. The 1 MeV gamma ray of 238U was used for the calibration. 22 lots of CaF2 slag were analysed by this method and the uranium content of these samples were found to be in the range of 1-5 per cent. The accuracy of the measurements is estimated to be +- 10 per cent. (author)
